Background
Howard began as an apprentice butcher back
in 1977 with Dewhursts, learning traditional butchery and cutting skills. Rising to shop manager in Stourbridge,
Howard came back to his home county to run the Leominster branch.
Working for Baxters, Howard set the all-time
record for opening sales with his branch in Hereford High Street and then travelled around the county helping
shops to see how they could improve their service.
After his years as District Manager, in
charge of 16 shops, he briefly experienced supermarket butchery-life and moved on to life as his own boss, where
he could practise his own ethos.
"Quality and consistency are my top priorities," said Howard. "I get my satisfaction from running a
business where the customers come first".
